The Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) successfully tested the Quick Reaction Surface Air Missile System (QRSAM) at Chandipur on Monday.

The Defense Research and Development Organization successfully tested the Quick Reaction Surface Air Missile System at 11:45 a.m. on Monday. The missile was tested at the Chandipur Range off the coast of Odisha.

This missile is capable of penetrating the air from the ground. The missiles also remain active during military operations and immediately target the enemy's aircraft or drones.

The DRDO successfully tested the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile off the coast of Odisha on December 17. The missile was launched with an advanced indigenous technology targeting the ship. Prior to that, both missiles released on October 21 and 22 were part of a regular tactical test.

The missile fired a target about 300 km away. Both missiles directly penetrated the target. This type of missile training has increased the IAF's ability to accurately achieve ground targets from the mobile platform.
