In Uttarakhand Rs. Eight thousand crores of GST theft exposed: 70 place raids

There was a huge revelation that the GST was stolen in Uttarakhand. At the behest of Finance Secretary Amit Negi, 55 teams of GST Dehradun staged a raid on 70 business sites in which they were informed that Rs 8,000 crore worth of GST was stolen.

The tragedy was followed by traders making bogus bills. Besides, it was also revealed that some people in Uttarakhand state were making bogus bills and pursuing business through ebay billions of crores of rupees.

A joint team of the Center and the state had campaigned for two consecutive months to capture the epicenter. The statistics that came out against the GST theft after the campaign were staggering.

Officials of the income tax department believe that there is a massive GST and income tax evasion scam in the state. During the investigation, these teams found that some people in the state were involved in theft of GST through a combination of officers. The team broke the tax evasion of 70 such bogus companies. These companies were creating bhutiya companies and making e-bills.

The total value of these bills was estimated at Rs 1,200 crore. So far these people have made 8000 crores of bogus bills and looted the government. He also created bogus documents to create bogus companies.

When the team scrutinized 70 companies, it was revealed that these 70 bogus companies had raised 34 companies and procured both machinery and compound from Delhi through e-way bill. These companies also showed in-house buying and sales and sales and sales figures in out-of-state provinces.

This is the largest case of GST theft in Uttarakhand which was jointly dealt by two teams. Following the revelation, officials of the state and the Center GST were engaged in prosecution of the case.
