An anti-terrorism court in Lahore held a hearing on the matter on Saturday, after which the judge announced that the trial would begin next December 7th.

Hafiz Saeed has been arrested and brought to this Lahore court amid heavy security. Hafiz Lot is currently imprisoned in Lakhpat Jail.

However, journalists were prevented from entering the court while the proceedings were underway. Pakistani Punjab Police has registered 23 FIRs against Hafiz Saeed.

However, Pakistan is not taking any steps for its involvement in the Mumbai attacks in the proceedings that are taking place and it is pretending that we are only taking such steps by making minor accusations.

The US has increased pressure on Pakistan on terrorism, which has led to the drama that Pakistan is now taking action. Hafiz Saeed is alleged to have started organizations in the name of social service and formed a Jamaat-ud-Dawa association, which later collected millions of rupees and used it to spread terrorism.

His associations have also been banned and his property confiscated. Meanwhile, court proceedings against Hafiz Saeed are about to begin. India is hopeful that this time Pakistan will not play drama as before and take strong action and punish Hafiz strictly.
