Don't support the bill until our doubts are resolved: Upright

After the Shiv Sena voted in the Lok Sabha on the citizenship reform bill, it has again changed its stance. Maharashtra Chief Minister and Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray said that unless the details are clear, the Shiv Sena in the Rajya Sabha will not support the central government on this bill.

On the other side, while criticizing the parties that supported the bill, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said that the bill was an attack on the country's constitution. However, the Congress welcomed the Shiv Sena's stance not to support the bill in the Rajya Sabha.

Since the Shiv Sena formed the government in Maharashtra with the support of Congress and the NCP, it was widely believed that in the Lok Sabha the citizenship bill would not be supported. But to the surprise of all, the Shiv Sena voted in support of the bill in the Lok Sabha on Monday. Shiv Sena MP Arvind Sawant said, "We have supported this bill in the interest of national interest.

The Common Minimum Program with Congress-NCP is applicable only to Maharashtra. In the Rajya Sabha, it was believed that it would support the bill following the Shiv Sena's stance. But once again, among the surprises of everyone, the Shiv Sena changed its attitude on Tuesday.

"We raised some issues in the Lok Sabha while supporting the bill," said Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray. We will not support the bill until these matters are resolved.

If any citizen has fear of this bill then his fear needs to be overcome. He is also our own citizen. Their questions should be answered. Rahul Gandhi, meanwhile, slammed the Modi government and the parties supporting the bill for passing the Citizenship Bill in the Lok Sabha.

He said the bill was similar to an attack on the country's constitution. Supporters of this bill are attacking the nation's base. On the other hand, the Congress high command was offended by the Sena's support to the bill in the Lok Sabha. However, the Congress on Tuesday welcomed the changing attitude of the Shiv Sena.
