1) Are the Citizenship Research Act (CAA) and the NRC (National Register of Citizens) related to each other?

Answer: No, both laws are different. CAA has been implemented in the country since passing through Parliament. While decision is yet to be taken on the NRC rule and its implementation. The NRC that has been applied in Assam has been applied in the Supreme Court order and supervision.

2) Should Indian Muslims be upset with the CAA and the NRC?

Answer: An Indian citizen who believes in any religion does not have to suffer

3) Will the NRC be for Muslims only?

Answer: No, it has nothing to do with religion, it will be for all citizens of India. All citizens of the country will be registered in a single register.

4) Will exclude people on religious grounds in NRC

Answer: No, NRC is not allowed to belong to religion, it cannot be applied on the basis of religion whenever applicable.

5) Will Muslims be required to have evidence from the NRC that they are Indian?

Answer: First of all, it is important to know that no initiative has been taken yet to implement NRC at the national level. 6) How is citizenship granted, will this process be in the hands of the government?

Answer: Citizenship of any person shall be determined under the Citizenship Rule 2009. This rule is based on the Citizenship Act, 1995. This rule is public. There are five ways to become a citizen of India

- Based on birth

- On the basis of descent

- On the basis of registration

- Depending on the land area

7) Whenever NRC is applicable, should parents also have to give birth details to prove Indian citizenship?

Answer: You will be sufficient to give information about your birth information such as date, month and year. If you do not have birth information, you will need to provide this information about your parents. But it is not mandatory for any document to be relevant to the parents. Citizenship can be proven by submitting any documents related to date of birth and place of birth. However, it is not yet decided which documents will be implemented. It is possible to include water card, passport, Aadhaar, license, LC, birth certificate, land or house document. This list will be long so that it does not bother people.

8) Will the NRC have to prove the genealogy before 1971?

Answer: No, no identity card or parents or ancestral certificate is required for the genealogy before 1971. This was applied only to Assam and also on the basis of the Supreme Court and the Assam Convention. For the rest of the country, the process of NRC will be different under the 2003 rule.

9) If proof of identity is easy then why are 19 lakh people out of NRC in Assam?

Answer: Assam problem cannot be linked to the whole country. Because there is a prolonged intrusion problem. The protest lasted for six years. Due to which the Rajiv Gandhi government had to sign a contract in 1985. Under it, the day of March 25, 1971 was designated as a cut-off date to identify the intrusion. Which was the basis for applying the NRC in Assam.

10) Will the NRC ask for too hard and outdated documents?

Answer: Very common documents will be required to prove identity. Even if the NRC is implemented at the national level, the government will make rules that will not bother anyone.

11) What if a person is illiterate and does not have a relevant document?

Answer: In this case, the officer will be allowed to bring such person to the witness. Other evidence will be allowed as well. A prescribed process will be followed

- There are a large number of people in India who have no home, are poor and are not educated, they have no identity, what will happen to them?

- Such thinking is not fair in all ways, such people are also voting and taking advantage of government schemes. Will they be identified on this basis?

- Can the NRC exclude transgender, atheist, tribal, Dalit, women and landless people?
