BJP also defeats Chhattisgarh Nigam Election, Congress wins 7 out of 10 seats

Even in the Chhattisgarh Nagar Nigam elections, the BJP was losing. The Congress won seven of the ten seats and the Congress candidate was leading in one sitting. The BJP won only two seats.

It seems that BJP's eclipse is not good these days. Just two days ago, the BJP defeated Jharkhand assembly polls.

Even in the Chhattisgarh town panchayats, the pressure of the Congress was visible. Congress occupied 48 of the 103 town panchayats. The BJP won 40 Nagar Panchayats. It also means that voters have more faith in Congress than BJP in urban areas.

No electronic voting machines were used here this time, so the results were delayed. The mayor has not been elected. Corporate corporators will choose the mayor.
