It proved to be the final day in the lives of many people who came to see the Border Film on 13th June 1997 at the Gift Cinema in South Delhi. As the movie was underway, the theater's transformer room caught fire, which quickly spread to other parts of the theater. The tragedy killed 59 people. Investigation of the incident revealed that the theater did not have sufficient fire protection system.

17 killed in Bawana

Three factories caught fire on January 21, 2018 in the Bawa industrial area of ​​Delhi. The tragedy killed 17. The deceased included 8 women. Illegal factories were operating in the area. Fireworks broke out on the basement and first floor of a factory, which quickly spread to other places. Even here there was no equipment or arrangement for fire escape.

17 killed in Hotel Arpit

A fire broke out on February 12, 2019 at Hotel Arpit in Karol Bagh, killing 17 people. The short-circuit fire in the morning took a horrifying form. The hotel had an estimated 53 people when the fire started. Sudden breathing began at 3.00 in the morning in the different rooms of the hotel. The fire spread rapidly due to a fiber sheet on the sixth floor of the building. Wooden work on the walls and carpet on the floor worked ghee in the fire.

13 killed in Nandanagari Community Center

At least 13 people were killed and more than 35 injured in a fire at a community center in Nandanagari area of ​​north-east Delhi. The All India Kinner Society's convention caught fire due to a short circuit or electric fault in the kitchen. Delhi fire service was not allowed for the convention and there was no fire safety system.
