88 crore loss to railway from violence against citizenship law

Indian Railways was estimated to have suffered a loss of 88 crores in the wake of the violence in Karnataka in protest of the new citizenship law.

In this regard, the Karnataka police sent a legal notice to former Chief Minister and Congress leader Siddaramaiah.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Yeddyurappa left for Mangalore this morning. Earlier, he had told the media that he was going to Mangalore to figure out how much the state had been harmed by the violence and arson caused by Congress' peaceful demonstrations. With Yeddyurappa, Deputy Chief Minister Govind Kajral and Karnataka Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai also left for Mangalore.
