65% turnout in first phase of Naxal attacks in Jharkhand

Jharkhand Assembly polls have begun. A total of five phases will be held in this state, so that the first phase was held on 30 May. According to the figures obtained, about 65 per cent of the total turnout was held. It was time to vote at three in the afternoon.

In this third phase, voting took place in a total of 13 assembly seats. A total of 37,83,055 voters were eligible to vote, including 18,01,356 women.

The first phase of polling was held in about six districts in which polling started at 7am in the morning was completed at three o'clock in the afternoon but those who were left were allowed to vote. Informing about this, Returning Officer Shantanu Agrahari said that when the ballots were being held, Congress candidate KN Tripathi tried to enter the polling booth, at which time he also had a weapon.

The pistol was seized from this candidate. In the first phase, a total of 189 candidates are in the fray. Including 15 women. The BJP, led by Chief Minister Raghubar Das, is contesting this election with the hope of winning a second term.

In the first phase, the BJP is trying its luck in 12 seats and the Congress in six. JMM is contesting in the first phase on four seats, RJD three seats. Of the total five polling stages, voting will take place, out of which only four are pending.
