19 flights canceled in Delhi: 10 km long traffic jam in Gurugram

The protests against Delhi's Citizenship (Amendment) law created a multi-kilometer-long traffic jam on National Highway-8, in which crew members were forced to cancel 19 flights while Indigo was delayed while 16 flights were delayed.

On the other side, people caught in traffic jams were leaving their vehicles on the road. Delhi Airport said that the four airlines - Vijara, Indigo, Air India and GoAir - announced that 19 flights were canceled as their crew members and tourists got stuck in traffic on National Highway-8.

In addition, 16 airlines were delayed due to the passengers being trapped. Indigo had to cancel 19 flights due to its crew members being trapped and other reasons.

On the other hand, several kilometers long traffic jammed on National Highway-8 as police barricades were placed to prevent protesters at several places inside and outside Delhi.

The traffic jam was most affected by the Noida-DND route in Haryana, Mahrauli-Gurugram (MG Road) and Delhi-Gurugram. As of 11.00 am, news of traffic jams started to come in the vicinity of Delhi border.

Several kilometers long jam caused people to face severe difficulties. For many, the situation was such that even though his house was only a few meters away, he had to be stuck on the road to Klaku and eventually he had to leave the trains on his way home.
