Winter session of Parliament from today: Will sit against Shiv Sena

Modi convenes an all-party meeting to convince the parties, though demands for debate on all issues in Parliament

Citizens reform bill hopes the government will pass this time, but also strong for opposition

New Delhi, November 17, 2019, Sunday

The Shi'alu session of Parliament is set to begin on Monday. Amidst this situation, the opposition has also waited and will surround the government on various issues this session.

Particularly because of the economic downturn in the country at present, the opposition will continue to question the government on account of poor economic conditions. Modi, meanwhile, called a bilateral meeting and hoped that some important bills could be passed.

However, opposition leader Ghulam Nabi Azad in Rajya Sabha can take up the matter of detention in Kashmir. Azad has surrounded the government over the detention of former chief minister Farooq Abdullah and other leaders detained in Kashmir.

At present, allied parties in Maharashtra and some other states are beginning to tear up and support the opposition, so there is a possibility that its impact will be seen in Parliament during this session. The Shiv Sena has 18 MPs in the Lok Sabha while the Rajya Sabha has three.

At present, the Shiv Sena has split with the NDA amid the pull of power in Maharashtra. After this, the Shiv Sena MPs are now sitting on the opposition side, while on the other hand, in the Rajya Sabha, the Shiv Sena MPs can surround the government. So this time, the winter session will be more nasty.

Meanwhile, the government has also prepared to pass some bills. The Citizens Amendment Bill, in particular, is expected to pass the Lok Sabha.

Even before this, the government has placed this bill in previous sessions but could not pass. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also called for an all-party meeting. At this meeting, Modi assured all parties that this time of the winter session should be more productive.

The opposition, however, demanded that during this session, issues like unemployment, peasant economic decline, the current recession in the country, etc. should be discussed. In the all-party meeting, several leaders also raised the issue of detention like Kashmir leader Farooq Abdullah.

Meanwhile, Modi also assured all parties in the meeting that the government was ready to discuss all kinds of issues. Leaders including Derek O'Brien, Chirag Paswan, Ram Gopal Yadav, Jaydev Galla were present in the meeting. In this meeting Paswan also raised the issue of women's reserve bill.

The government will introduce up to 35 bills in Parliament

The winter session of Parliament is set to begin on Monday. In the midst of this situation, the government will now put up to 35 bills to pass in Parliament. The bill also includes the Citizenship Research Bill, which is heavily opposed by the opposition.

Other important bills to be introduced in Parliament include corporate tax deduction bills, e-cigarette ban bills, child justice research bills, private data protection bills, senior citizen nutrition bill, national police university bill, central Sanskrit university bill.
