According to the information received, regarding the house tax of Anandabhavan, the corporation officials say that Anand Bhawan and its surrounding buildings are used for commercial purposes. In some places of the museum of Anand Bhavan and fees are paid by the Trust for the observance of the planetarium, hence Anandabhavan has been identified as a business establishment.

According to one information, 3 days ago, Allahabad Nagar Nigam had given notice to Anandabhavan in which house house tax (house tax) has not been paid from the year till now. At the meeting of the municipal corporation, Congress members regarded the building as a cultural heritage of the country and treated the House tax notice as an insult. Not only has the mayor been asked to reconsider the notice of the house tax by the conservation and management organization of the monument, but he has also requested the tax exemption be reconsidered.
