Venice has the highest water level of the last five decades. Venice Mayor Luigi Burgarnaro tweeted Sunday that he was preparing for the adverse weather conditions due to incoming tide.

He said that because of the floods, seawater has infiltrated the city. One billion euros has been damaged so far due to the intrusion of salt water into the city.

The second tide was followed by a high tide, a huge tide and flood. As a result, the city's water level has increased. The water level has also been raised on roads and sidewalks.

The city, which is attracting tourists from around the world, was flooded on Friday due to a thunderstorm and seawater infiltrated the city. Due to which all tourist attractions have been closed.

Reservations at all the hotels are being canceled as more than 80% of the city is inundated. Apart from this, pilgrims and tourists are also facing a shortage of cash, as almost all the city's ATMs. They have closed due to water scarcity.

To cope with this situation, the government has opened a fund of 20 million euros. Hundreds of euros have been provided with immediate effect to the flood victims. While the restaurant and shopkeepers will later be given assistance up to twenty thousand euros.
