Traffickers do art in a 300-year-old museum in Germany: 1 billion euros worth of jewelry stolen!

Berlin, Ta. November 25, 2019, Monday

A robbery was reported Monday in the city of Dresden, Germany. Smugglers were struck in the city museum and an estimated $ 1 billion ($ 79 billion) worth of jewelry was stolen.

The museum houses some of the most valuable historical artifacts. The museum's collection also contained ten 18th-century gold-silver-diamond-pearl jewelry sets. Police estimated 3 sets of smugglers were taken.

However, the calculation is still underway on how much the smugglers' exits have taken. The theft is the largest smuggling in Germany since World War II. The Royal Palace is located in the city of Dresden. It has a museum called The Green Vault.

The museum, which houses more than 4000 pieces of fine art and jewelry, is counted among Europe's largest museums. The Green Vault was founded in 1723. That is why the museum is 296 years old. The museum has a total of two sections, one with old artifacts and one new.

The smugglers opted for the old section. CCTV footage of the museum shows two thieves covering the mouth and breaking into a puddle. Now the police have been alerted to catch them. Museum operators did not disclose how many thefts were stolen.

Administrators said that what was stolen is invaluable, it is not possible to calculate its value. But local figures said the theft of up to 1 billion euros dollars. Authorities were now convinced that the smugglers could not sell all of these stolen goods in the market. Because if they go on sale, they will get caught.
