Suicide of 10 farmers in 4 days due to poor rainfall

Amidst the agitation of forming a government in Maharashtra, the plight of farmers has been forgotten. Due to the low rainfall, 10 farmers have committed suicide in four days in Maharashtra.

All these farmers are from Marathawada area. Where there is heavy damage to farming due to mahout. Although the exact cause of suicide is not known, the economic losses to the farmers are more likely to be responsible.

Soybean, sorghum, maize and cotton cultivation have been ruined by the rains. In Nanded area, there have been three cases of suicide by 3 farmers and two farmers in Beed district. Two farmers have also committed suicide in Osmanabad, Parbhani district.

An official said the damage caused by the rains could also be responsible. Or it may be that farmers have committed suicide due to excessive debt.
