A petition challenging the Shiv Sena's alliance with the NCP and the Congress to form the government in Maharashtra was made in the Supreme Court.

It was learned that the hearing for this petition is likely to begin in a few days. The petition termed the coalition unethical and illegal and requested the court not to allow the alliance to be approved by the Chief Minister and the central and state governments.
The petition was filed in the Supreme Court by a lawyer named Pramod Pandit Joshi. However, the court has not yet announced the date for his hearing.
