S-400 missile defense system agreements were signed between India and Russia, which will be available to India in a short time. India has already paid $ 850 million to Russia for the deal. However, this amount is 15% of the total amount. That means even more payments will be made.

The US had long pressured India to not deal with this defense. However, India had made it clear that no compromise should be made on the defense of the country.

The two countries created a special framework for this, keeping in mind the sanctions the US imposed in September. Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin also issued a statement saying that Russia is preparing a plan for India's timely delivery of the S-400 defense system.

India announced the purchase of the defense system in 2015, when the deal was finalized when Russian President Putin visited India last year. India will pay $ 5.43 billion to Russia to buy the defense system, which deals between the two countries. Currently 15 percent of the article has paid about $ 850 million.

This defense system will help protect against attacks by enemy countries. Earlier in July, the United States had warned that if India bought this defense system from Russia, it could have an impact on relations with the United States.

There have been reports that India has not announced the payment it has made in the wake of these US threats. On the other hand, Putin had publicly stated that we would give India this defense system the time it was set. In June this year, Minister of Foreign Affairs S. Jayashankar said that India will give finalization to this deal keeping in view its own interest.
