Rahul says I am firm on calling Pragya Thakur a terror: Rahul

New delhi date. November 29, 2019, Friday

Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi said he was firm on his statement and would not apologize for calling Pragya Thakur a terror. He said that I had made my position clear. I stand firm on my statement and do not apologize.

The statement came at a time when the BJP has opened a front against Rahul Gandhi over terming Pragya Thakur a terror. While the SPG bill was being discussed in the cold session of the Parliament, BJP MP Pragya Thakur made a stir in the Lok Sabha after Gandhi's assassin Nathuram Godse was called a patriot.

Rahul Gandhi then wrote a tweet criticizing Pragya Thakur, saying that terrorist Pragya Thakur called the terror Godse a patriot. In protest of the tweet, the BJP opened a front against Rahul Gandhi on Friday.

BJP MP from Godda Nishikant Dubey targeted Rahul Gandhi after Pragya Thakur apologized on Friday, saying that a privilege violation should be used against him.

Nishikant Dubey called Rahul Gandhi's statement an even worse act than the murder of Mahatma Gandhi. He also lashed out at the Shiv Sena on the issue, saying that Congress could go to any extent for power and temptation. He formed a government with the Shiv Sena in Maharashtra.

In his mouthpiece, the Shiv Sena called Godse a patriot. He questioned that Rahul Gandhi would apologize to Uddhav Thackeray. Talking to media outside the house, Rahul Gandhi said that he had made his position clear on the issue of Pragya Thakur being called a terrorist. They will not apologize on this point. The BJP can do whatever it wants.
