Oxygen is produced on Mars, but how the mystery is still unraveled!

Researchers have been shocked by the relatively abnormal fluctuations of oxygen on the surface of Mars. The Earth, like Mars, is in season. Various gases in the atmosphere of Mars vary with the seasons, but the oxygen content remains constant.

Because oxygen can only increase when somehow it is produced. This increase in oxygen has been observed on the surface of Mars, collected by NASA's Curiosity rover craft, which has been researching since 2012.

Indian origin researcher Sushil Atre, who presented the research paper on this, said that this is the most important and mysterious event in the history of Mars research half a century.

The atmosphere of Mars is made up of 95 percent carbon, 2.6 percent nitrogen, 1.9 percent argon and 0.06 percent oxygen. This is the average ratio. It is no surprise that all three gases other than oxygen are plus-minus in different seasons. But Curiosity Rover reported a 30 percent increase in oxygen content. This increase is phenomenal.

On the contrary, the air volume again decreases after this increase. That is, the cycle of acceleration continues. NASA scientist Melissa Trainer said this was a big surprise. Oxygen on Mars may have come from a chemical element or even something below the surface. But do not know where it comes from.

There have been small discoveries on Mars since 1965, but this surprizing result has never been seen before. That is why NASA scientists have said that we do not even have an answer to why this happens.

At first, when NASA scientists were diagnosed with oxygen by a device called The Rover's Sample Analysis at Mars, there was something wrong with the rover's engine. Because no one had ever imagined such a change in oxygen content on Mars. So the researchers re-examined the rover's device, but everything was fine.

Earlier, methane gas was recorded on the surface of Mars. Methane is possible only when metabolism takes place. Metabolism occurs only if an organism is present. Methane is reported only once, so it could not be further investigated. But researchers who found methane were led to believe that there must be some bacteria on Mars.
