Earlier, Kutch district of Gujarat was the largest in India in terms of area, but now it will be ranked second and Leh district has been declared as the largest district in the first place. This ad was not announced on the basis of population but the area was large. According to information released by the Home Ministry, in 1947 there were 14 districts in the former Jammu and Kashmir state.

However, by the end of 2019, the state government had made 14 of 28 districts. India has also issued a new map so that the oil is poured into Pakistan's stomach. The new map also includes the area that Pakistan occupied.
