North Korea hackers' melee look at India's nuclear plant

Chennai, Ta. 5 November 2019 Tuesday

North Korea's hackers claim a recent attack by hackers on the Kudankulam nuclear ground in Tamil Nadu has been claimed by a South Korean non-profit intelligence service.

It was claimed by North Korea that North Korea wanted to scuttle the design of the Kudankulam nuclear station and the technology it was working on. The organization also submitted several documents in support of its claim.

The organization, called Ishu Makers Lab (IML), also claimed that hackers from North Korea had tried to target some Indian scientists as well.

Such scientists included Anil Kakodkar, former head of the Atomic Energy Commission of India and former director of the Bhabha Atomic Research Center, as well as former head of the Atomic Energy Regulatory Board, SA Bhardwaj.

IML also claimed that these hackers could contact any person or department of India's nuclear power through malware-filled e-mails. These hackers tried hacking through computers used only in North Korea.
