Union holds meeting on BHU dispute in Varanasi, UN claims that students have withdrawn protest

A Muslim professor at Banaras Hindu University is teaching Sanskrit but was opposed by some students. As a result, the matter has grown tremendously and people on social media are also supporting the professor.

While in BHU, many students are also demonstrating in support of this Muslim professor. In the midst of this situation, now Professor Dr. Students opposed to Feroz Khan have also sat down on the dharna display, so the matter has come face to face.

Students who are protesting against this Muslim professor are protesting against the teacher or the professor seeing religion. These students started performing kirtan on the campus.

On the other hand, many students from the same university have come to the support of the professor. Opposing students argue that Muslim professors cannot teach Sanskrit while supporting students say that there is no religion to be found in the teacher or the professor, everyone has the right to teach every subject.

On the other hand, the Sanskrit section which was closed due to these protests has been re-opened. While the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh also held a meeting in Varanasi on this issue, it has intervened and said that we are not in support of students who are opposing the professor,

There should be no objection to the Muslim professor teaching Sanskrit, whatever students are opposing the professor is wrong and we are not endorsing it. While a BHU spokesperson said there was a lot of discussion on the issue Thursday and a meeting with the students,

The BHU claims that the students have finally been guaranteed a dharna performance committee. However, there have been reports that protests have been issued by the students on the 16th day, amid claims of the administration that everything has gone quiet. The administration also claimed that the department would be opened on Thursday.

The protesting students have also argued that Feroz Khan is Muslim and cannot teach rituals while the university has said that Feroz Khan is teaching Sanskrit language but not rituals.

On the other hand, many students from BHU have said. Since the campaign has started in support of Feroz Khan, the matter has now come face to face. But the administration claims that everything is quiet now, and the Sanskrit department has been opened.

It is not that Muslim professors are teaching Sanskrit on BHU campus. There are several universities where Muslim professors have been teaching Sanskrit for years in Sanskrit. For example, Ramzan Ali, a Muslim professor at Belur College in Kolkata, said, "I have been studying Sanskrit here for a long time and I am getting a lot of love from the students."

Talking about this controversy, Professor Ramzan Ali said that no one can be stopped from studying or teaching on the basis of religion. I enjoy teaching Sanskrit to my students.
