Kejriwal changes time of government offices

In the wake of the deadly poisonous pollution in New Delhi, state Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has again announced a change in the working hours of government offices implementing the Ekwak odd-event.

The 21 departments of the state government will work from 9:30 am to 6 pm and the other 21 departments will operate from 10:30 am to 7 pm. The schedule will go into effect from Monday 4th November which will be in effect from November 15th. The Delhi government announced the change through a written order.

The announcement also made it clear that this rule will only apply to government offices. Private companies can work according to their schedules, such an odd-even program was implemented twice in the past. The rules will be relaxed on Sunday. This rule also covers electric vehicles and CNG vehicles currently running.

This rule does not apply to the President, Vice-President, Prime Minister, Supreme Court Judges, Speakers of the Lok Sabha, Union Ministers, Leaders of the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, and the Deputy Governor of Delhi. In the same way, exemptions are also made for divisions, women and ambulances. Violation of these rules will result in a fine of Rs.
