New delhi date. November 18, 2019, Monday

Thousands of students of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) based in Delhi have resumed their protest against the fee hike. These students have demanded that we withdraw the movement only if the fee has been fully refunded.

Earlier, the JNU administration had claimed that we would refund the fee increase but now students are saying that we are on the move to ensure that the full fee increase has not been refunded.

The winter session in Parliament began on Monday, following which the students selected the day itself for the protest and made fierce demonstrations. Although there was friction between the students and the police,

The police prevented the students from marching towards Parliament, which caused this friction. Police had battered the police to disperse the students, leaving tear gas shells in which some students were injured.

Videos and photos of the police lathi charge are also going viral on social media, and people are criticizing the police for such vandalism. The students have demanded that we need a refund of the fee increase, not just a little.

In the past, the hostel and mess at JNU will be charged the same as the fees. On the other hand, the students are accusing the JNU administration of returning only 50 per cent of the fee increase.

On the other hand, Delhi Police's PRO Mandiep S. Randhawa said that an inquiry has been ordered into the allegations that the students were being charged with a lathi charge.

Our purpose was to prevent students from taking up the law. Meanwhile, left-wing leader Sitaram Yechury said that the students were protesting democratically. This kind of dealing with them is not okay. Currently, a kind of crisis created during the Narendra Modi period has been implemented in the country.

When the crisis was imposed earlier, more police have been deployed to prevent the agitation of these students. Meanwhile, a committee was set up by the Union Ministry of Human Resources to look into the demands of the students.
