Sixteen people, including three children and four women, were killed when a vehicle fell 500 feet down a ditch on the road connecting the Doda Highway this afternoon in Doda district. Doda district police chief Mumtaz Ahmed said more passengers were seated in a vehicle capable of carrying ten passengers.

The tragedy was triggered when the vehicle fell into a ditch 500 feet down at Batote-Doda High at about three o'clock in the afternoon. Only one person survived the accident. The driver with the driver and sixteen passengers was traveling from Doda to repair when the player had a mishap.

'The accident will be investigated, but at first glance it appears the driver was unable to detect the curves. The result was a tragedy. Also, the possibility that the driver used a mobile phone while driving is also not ruled out.

The driver was also killed in the crash. The only person who survived the accident was admitted to Government Medical College and Hospital, ”said a police officer in Doda, Ramban and Kistwar areas.

Mohammad Rashid, a resident of Doda town, said, “There are insufficient vehicles and they are too old. The roads are bad and everyone is in a hurry to reach them. No action is taken on overloading. People have to hurry too '.

He further said that most of the drivers were not trained. In addition, some drugs are banned. We rely only on the above. On July 1, a bus carrying 28 passengers but a bus carrying Bawan passengers fell into the creek in Keshavana. The crash left 35 passengers dead and 17 others injured.

PDP leader Firdaus Tak said: "Overloading, lack of barriers, bad roads and inadequate buses, these four issues are the main cause of the accident. Nearly ten thousand people have been killed in 55,000 road accidents in the last decade. All governments consider satisfaction only by repairing the top. No one is looking for the real reason, ”he added.
