The major constituent of ribose RNA, ribonucleic acid, is found in living cells. Rabbit particles have also been reported on comets along with other particles of biologically important sugar. As per the tests, these sugar particles are formed just outside the earth. PNAS says it could not be reached because of the comets' earthly arrival.

Scientists concluded at the end of the test that the cause of the sugar mites was the fermentation reaction. The composition of this mineral suggests that sugar was formed either during or immediately after the formation of asteroids. But it could not be proved whether they were actually those outside the earth.
