In Melodra in Maharashtra: Supreme Court will give verdict in 10-30 hrs today

New delhi date. November 25, 2019, Monday

The issue of forming a government with the support of Ajit Pawar by the BJP in Maharashtra has now reached the Supreme Court. The trial was also held on Monday following the case.

Although there was a possibility that the Supreme Court could order an order to carry out the trust vote process, the hearing has now been postponed until Tuesday. So on Tuesday, the Supreme Court is likely to issue an order.

However, when arguments were going on in the Supreme Court before this, there was a new disclosure. The Supreme Court was informed that the Fadnavis government has no time until November 30th but December 7th.

Earlier, there were reports that the governor had given the Fadnavis government until November 30 to conduct a credible process, but now it is revealed in the Supreme Court that it is not the November 30 but the seventh government till December 7.

This information was provided by lawyer Mukul Rohatgi, who is arguing on behalf of Fadnavis. Rohtagi said the governor had given 14 days to the Fadnavis government on the 23rd for a majority, so he has time till December 7th.

Meanwhile, while arguments were underway, Abhishek Singhvi, on behalf of the NCP and the Congress, repeatedly raised the issue of credible process. He said that if both sides are ready for trust, then why is the trust process not being carried out soon, why is it being delayed?

Singhvi tried to appear before the court in support of the NCP's 48, the Shiv Sena's 56 and the Congress's 44 MLAs, though Mukul Rohatgi was present on behalf of the BJP.

Later, the judge said, "If we accept this letter, we will have to speak to the legislators as well." Singhvi later withdrew the letter.

While arguments were underway, Tushar Mehta on behalf of the BJP said that a tabernacle of a horse had already disappeared in Maharashtra. To this, Kapil Sibal also commented and said that the horses are there and only the cavalry has fled.

Mukul Rohatgi claimed that the MLAs were locked in a hotel. Sibal later denied the claims, raising several questions over the swearing-in of the president overnight. The apex court later adjourned the matter till Tuesday.
