Google, Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp Need Control: Mohandas Pai

The country's famous techno expert Mohandas Pai said in reference to WhatsApp espionage that now governments need to control social media companies. These companies are monitoring the people's minds and influencing them. There is a special need to be aware of that.

Infosys's chief finance officer, TV expert TV Mohandas Pai said after the WhatsApp espionage incident that it is now necessary to control the companies like WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter, Google. These companies are monitoring the influx of people and are using it to earn money.

The government should make certain rules and standards for these companies and see that those rules are followed. He said the central government should immediately investigate the WhatsApp espionage. For this, an inquiry commission should be formed immediately and the report should be made public.

Information Technology Expert Mohandas Pai said that these social media platform companies gain access to mobile, monitor all data, information, interests and then influence the minds of the citizens accordingly. This is a very dangerous situation and steps should be taken to find a permanent solution.

He said that people should be careful about privacy and data. These companies are inadvertently dominating us, and it cannot be ruled out that in the long run, they will take over most of us.

Mohandas Pai said that this is not only necessary in India, it is time for governments around the world to take drastic action. If steps are not taken now, it will be too late. Mohandas Pai was the director of Infosys. Manipal is the chairman of Global Education.
