On the occasion of Constitution Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that it was a joy that the spirit of the Constitution has remained unwavering and steadfast. Even though there have been some attempts to intimidate him, the countrymen have failed him together, not allowing the constitution to be threatened.

We are moving towards a better India, because of the strength of our Constitution. We have made all the amendments together with the Constitution. On the other hand, the opposition, including the Shiv Sena and the Congress, boycotted a joint session of Parliament to protest the BJP's arbitration in Maharashtra.

Speaking on the occasion of the 70th Constitution Day in the Central Hall of Parliament House, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said that our Constitution has given two messages of solidarity for Indian citizens and for India.

It has maintained the dignity of every Indian and ensured that India's unity remains strong. For us, our constitution is the most sacred text. A treatise that includes our lives, the traditions of society, our ethos and solutions to many challenges.

Gandhi's ideas are more relevant today: Modi

Modi is the country's first President Remembering Rajendra Prasad and saying that Rajendra Babu had said that we have to go to the Convention for things that are not in the constitution. This has been India's specialty. Mahatma Gandhi explained these relations well. As we are celebrating his 150th birth anniversary, his thoughts have become more prevalent. Gandhi said that you learned from his uneducated but intelligent mother that every right was directly related to your responsibility. This relationship and the balance between rights and duties was very well understood by the President.
