Divi, Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli will be merged into one another

The central government wants to unify the Union Territories like Diu Daman, Dadra and Nagar Haveli. A special bill for this was introduced in the Lok Sabha. If this bill passes, these union territories will be merged. So administrative costs can be reduced.

The bill was approved by the Union Minister of State for Finance. Kishan Reddy introduced in Lok Sabha The move is being promoted by the government at a time when the central government has created a union territory, separating Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.

Reddy, while presenting the bill, said that the government believes in the Minimum Government, Maximum Governance. In view of this government policy, we have introduced this bill in the Lok Sabha. Combining different Union Territories into one State also reduces administrative costs and saves time.

After integrating these Union Territories, it will be named Dadra and Nagar Haveli while Daman and Diu. The budgets of these two Union Territories are currently being offered separately. It was ruled by the Marathas and the Portuguese as well as the Rajputs over the Union Territories. For tourists, this place has been the center of attraction for many tourists. So, even as part of tourism, the government wants to develop it.
