China fears US over Hong Kong democracy support bill stampede

Washington / Beijing, Ta. November 28, 2019, Thursday

There is likely to be a tension in the US-China relationship over the Hong Kong issue again. Trump has stamped approval of a bill introduced in support of Hong Kong protesters. Trump's decision has angered China and threatened China as well.

US President Donald Trump has ratified the Hong Kong Human Rights and Democracy Act-2019. Trump has signed the bill and officially endorsed Hong Kong protesters.

The bill will also strengthen US trade with Hong Kong and will give Hong Kong many different rights. This will accelerate its economy.

Trump said after signing the bill that Xi Jinping is a good friend and I signed the bill in the interest of China as well as Hong Kong. I hope that China and Hong Kong will resolve this issue soon. China immediately dismissed the move following Trump's decision. China called the United States dangerous.

China has said that if the United States takes such a step, the relations between the two countries will have serious consequences. China immediately took action on the issue, summoned the US ambassador to China and asked for an explanation. China also called for a withdrawal of the bill in its introduction.

China's Deputy Foreign Minister Li Yucheng said China has been vocally opposed to these matters. China does not believe in allowing any country to deal directly with Hong Kong. President Donald Trump's move will affect cooperation between different sectors of the two countries. No other country should intervene on the Hong Kong issue.

Earlier, Trump had claimed that if I had not intervened, China would have been ready to destroy Hong Kong in just 14 minutes. China had decided to send an army to Hong Kong, and I had stopped the move by talking to Jinping. China did not respond.
