ASEAN countries support India's growing influence over China in the Indo-Pacific region

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in Bangkok to attend the annual summit of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

Meanwhile, while delivering his speech at the summit, Modi had also sidelined Pakistan by talking about terrorism across the border. In addition, he made his point on a dispute that is going on in the South China Sea.

The ASEAN countries praised and endorsed the role that is emerging in India's Indo-Pacific province at the ASEAN Summit in Bangkok. India was given a lot of importance in this organization of 10 countries.

Officials of the organization said that if there was one of the most important issues in the 16th Summit of ASEAN, it was India's increasing influence in the ASEAN countries. The countries involved in this organization include those around China, which China later praised as India.

Informing about this, former Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Vijay Singh Thakur said that all the countries of the ASEAN organization had endorsed the role and influence of the ASEAN countries in India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke at the summit on terrorism, China's dispute over the South China Sea, etc.

Modi said that India was committed to strengthening its relations with ASEAN countries. It is noteworthy that all the countries of India and ASEAN constitute one fourth of the world's population. While the GDP of these countries is five trillion dollars.

Speaking on the important issues discussed at the summit, Secretary Vijay Singh Thakur said that the issue of the South China Sea dispute was also discussed at the summit and Narendra Modi also raised the issue.

The issue was considered important by both parties. It is noteworthy that the ASEAN countries include Brain, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam. India has always been helpful to a group of these countries. Most of these countries are fighting China.
