An invitation to the Prime Minister and Sonia Gandhi too

Mumbai Ta: 28 Nov 2019, Thursday

Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray, who was sworn in as Maharashtra's chief minister this evening, invited the chief ministers of almost all the states of the country besides Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress president Sonia Gandhi to attend his swearing-in ceremony.

However, he did not get a response from the Prime Minister and Sonia Gandhi. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Telugu Desam's Chandrababu Naidu replied that we could not attend.

Other dignitaries included Uddhav Pittai and Masai's brother, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena Raj Thackeray.

For the inauguration of this evening at Mumbai's famous Shivaji Park, the heroic warriors of Maharashtra were decorating the stage in Shivaji Park with the style of Shanwarwada, dressed as a fortress of Peshwas.

This is the first time that a prophet of the Thackeray family is becoming Chief Minister and Shiv Sena was busy preparing for the fate. However, Balasaheb Thackeray had stated clearly that no member of the Thackeray family would ever get into active politics. Every year, Dashera organized a Shiv Sena rally in Shivaji Park, which Balasaheb addressed.
