Why is Nepal leaving India and moving closer to China?

Experts believe that Nepal's flying visit by Chinese President Xi Jinping to India before raising the visit to Mahabalipuram in India raised doubts.

Xi Jinping, who visited Nepal after 1996, was the first Chinese president. Given the enthusiasm that Nepal has received for its reception, one can estimate the importance of the Chinese President's visit to Nepal.

Nepal's ruling Marxist party has released drafts of not one or two eleven projects with China. One of the most ambitious projects included a plan to launch a cooperative railway line in Nepal. Until now, China has never had such a large investment in neighboring countries Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and the Maldives.

Thus, Nepal had already announced its support for China's ambitious Belt and Road project, but because Nepal needed more financing, the plan could not take a concrete shape. Now, besides roads and electricity, Nepal is also with China in the scheme.

Nepal has been keen on participating in it, despite criticism from the whole world. Political experts say that in the name of such a plan, China made many countries indebted. But these small countries did not realize that they themselves were becoming debtors to China.
