US suspects terrorist attack in India: US

Washington, Ta. October 2, 2019, Wednesday

The United States has cautioned India that a Pakistani terrorist could launch a major attack in India when Pakistan was rallying after removing Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir. The United States said that if Pakistan could control the terrorist organizations seeking refuge on their soil, then terrorist attacks could be stopped.

Assistant Secretary of Defense for Asia-Pacific Security, Randall Shiver, said that after India's decision on Kashmir, many countries fear that terrorist organizations could carry out terrorist attacks across the border. On China's stance on the Kashmir issue, Shaivar said China's support for Pakistan was largely diplomatic and political. China has supported Pakistan on the international stage but it will do nothing special.

Randall Shiver said China has a long standing relationship with Pakistan and its rivalry with India is increasing. But China also wants a stable relationship with India. He was the Foreign Minister. Referring to Jayashankar's recent US visit, he said that the US was in discussions with him.
