Trump's biggest threat to American democracy: Biden's accusation

Former US Vice President and incoming Presidential candidate Joe Biden said for the first time that impeachment action must be taken against President Trump. He went on to say that the person currently sitting in the White House is the biggest threat to American democracy. And he has violated his oath of secrecy.

Biden's party has begun an impeachment against Trump, alleging that Trump forced Ukraine's President Vladimir Zalensky to call Biden in July for allegedly providing information on a trade deal involving Biden.

Democrats say Trump has pressured Zelensky to stop military aid to Ukraine if he does not give Biden information. Trump, however, dismissed the claim as baseless and called the impeachment a "witchhunt."

Addressing a rally in New Hampshire on Wednesday, 78-year-old Biden said: "Not a single president in American history has ever tried such reckless tactics. From his own words and gestures, Trump has shown himself this way.

He had already shown himself guilty of obstructing the process of justice and rejecting the congressional inquiry. In the eyes of the American people, Trump violated the oath of secrecy he had taken.

"The impeachment action must be taken against Trump to protect our ideology, our democracy and our basic solidarity," he said.
