Nuclear talks between US and North Korea collapsed in Sweden

On Sunday, the second day after the nuclear talks between the United States and North Korea collapsed in Sweden, North Korea said it had no intention of resuming nuclear talks with the United States until it closed its hostile policy.

North Korea's president Kim Jong Un and US President Donald Trump were stuck for months after a meeting was held in February. However, a meeting was held between the two countries on Saturday.

North Korea agreed to resume talks with the United States last Wednesday, and in just a few clicks, it tested a ballistic missile.

However, despite the test, meetings were held between North Korean and US officials on Saturday, a short distance from the North Korean embassy in Stockholm, Sweden. Coming out of the meeting in Sweden, North Korea said it was frustrated that the US had not introduced 'new and creative' solutions and had no interest in negotiating with the United States.

The US, on the other hand, was eager to negotiate with North Korea again in two weeks. But the North Korean Foreign Ministry said talks with them could end immediately if the US sticks to its old policies. Future negotiations with Pyongyang and Washington depend on US Attitude and its deadline is due later this year.

Kim Myong Gill, North Korea's leading negotiator on nuclear weapons in Stockholm, has accused the US of not giving up its old Attitude. The meeting ended without reaching any conclusions because of his attitudes.

Washington, however, claimed the meeting had fruitful discussion, saying that North Korea's comments would not affect the meeting. The discussions with North Korea for about eight and a half years have been fruitful.

The United States accepted Sweden's invitation to resume talks with North Korea in two weeks, US State Department spokesman Morgan Ortigas said. Ortegas added that the United States had reviewed a number of new initiatives. At the first meeting between Kim Jong Un and Donald Trump in June last year, negotiations over the complete disarmament of the Korean Peninsula were negotiated, but little progress has been made in this regard.

North Korea on Wednesday claimed it had entered a new phase of its defense capabilities. North Korea tested a submarine launch ballistic missile on Wednesday, which is believed to be the most provocative step since negotiations began with Washington in 2018.

North Korea has been banned from launching ballistic missiles by the United Nations Security Council. Trump has said he has no problem with North Korea having previously tested short-range missiles. He also has good relations with the North Korean leader personally.
