Nashik, Sangli flood due to heavy rains: Six victims in Maharashtra

Nashik, Sangli and many parts of the state have been lashed by heavy rains since Saturday. Six people died in the state following heavy rains.

And two were injured. Three of them were killed by lightning at Jal. And two were injured. The father and daughter who were going to the temple on the bank of the river leading to Sangli were strained. When a person was strained in a drain in Buldhana. Floods have created in Nashik Godavari and Sangli's leading river. Heavy rain is forecast for the next three days.

The temples along the river bank were submerged when the river Godavari was flooded. There were several motorists standing on the shore. Heavy rains caused havoc in Nashik.

Heavy rains accompanied by thunderstorm accompanied by gusty winds this afternoon at Savargam Bhagde village in Jalna. Three died of lightning at that time. Two people were injured. The deceased have been identified as Gaibai Gajanan Naiknavre (35), Sandeep Shankar Pawar (30 years), Mandabai Nagorao Chafle (35 years).

The two injured have been admitted to a private hospital for treatment. The above incident was the result of lightning while working in the field.

The drought-hit monsoon rains in Sangli have been raining since Saturday night. There was heavy rainfall in the Mahakal taluka on the outskirts of Tantasgaon as well as in Khanapur area. The river at the forefront of the Khanapur area was flowing on two banks. The father and daughter were strained in the water.
