Modi invites China to China for third informal meeting

The two-day informal meeting of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping emphasized the need for the two countries to work together to protect society from terrorism and religious fanaticism, but there was no debate on the Kashmir issue. However, Jinping had discussed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan 48 hours before his visit to India.

The issue of Kashmir was raised in a joint statement by China and Pakistan during their visit to Iran. China advised the two countries to resolve the dispute through mutual negotiations and not to take a unilateral decision to India. However, India objected to this, saying that Kashmir was an internal matter of India.

Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale said in response to a question at a news conference here that Jinping required discussions with PM Modi about Pakistan's recent China visit to Prime Minister Imran Khan. He said there was no mention of Jammu and Kashmir status in the talks between the two leaders.

Jinping, however, mentioned Imran Khan's visit to Beijing, which was heard by Prime Minister Modi. The two leaders also showed a commitment to tackling terrorism and fundamentalism together and to take bilateral relations to a new level.

The two leaders agreed to take steps to increase mutual trust between the armies of the two nations. In this regard, Xi Jinping invited the Indian defense minister to visit China.

Vijay Gokhale said there was a one-on-one discussion between the two leaders for about seven hours in two days. There was no mention of Jammu and Kashmir in the talks between the leaders of the two countries.

India's side knows China already in this regard. He said that the two leaders also acknowledged the need to autonomous foreign policy and to keep bilateral relations independent of the views and views of a third country.

In international affairs, the two leaders felt the need to increase cooperation on multilateral forums and talk about reform in the United Nations. The two leaders also discussed the Afghanistan issue.

According to the Foreign Ministry, before the delegation-level talks, Modi and Jinping had a one-on-one conversation at the Fisherman's Cove resort for about a quarter, with clear indications of their intention to renew relations to enhance bilateral cooperation. The two leaders also appeared talking on the beach, walking around.

On Friday, Modi and Xi Jinping had nearly two-and-a-half conversations during dinner. The dinner meeting of the two leaders lasted much longer than the stipulated time. He said that the two leaders also discussed trade deficit and imbalance in trade.

Modi gives Jinping a silk shawl
