Learn, the history of Mahabalipuram, which Chinese President Xi Jinping visited

In the 5th, the President of China made a historic visit to Ahmedabad. Five years later, he has visited India for two days. He had an informal meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Mahabalipuram, Tamil Nadu. Mahabalipuram is one of the most nascent ancient cities in India. Visiting the caves and temples here is a privilege. According to historical context, this was traded with China centuries ago.

This Mahabalipuram town on the coast of Tamil Nadu was built by Pallava dynasties in the seventh century. This temple is known for ancient temples as mentioned earlier. The Pallava ruler Narasimha Dev Varm contributed greatly to the construction of this city. Narasimha Devvarman is counted among the majestic kings of southern India. He is also known by the nickname of Mahamal. The city was named after his name Mahabalipuram. It is believed that although the history of Pallava rulers is as old as six years ago, people of this region also had commercial relations with China.

During the time of Narasimhan Varman I, Chinese pilgrim Hannu An Sang arrived in India It described the immense richness and magnificence of Kanchi and Mahabalipuram. Mahabalipuram is about 3 km from Chennai, the capital city of Tamil Nadu.

In Mahabalipuram, there are two types of monuments one pavilion and the other monolithic temple. The ekashmak temple has been carved out of a single stone. This temple is also called a chariot. These chariot temples are considered as the head of the twin-style temples. Some of the chariots are constructed like chaityas, which show the influence of the Buddhist style. Small folktales have also been engraved in stone.

Mamalaya-style chariots are also famous for their sculpture. According to the Mahabharata story, chariots of various types of deities are made on this chariot in the name of Pandavas. They have been named Dvopadi Rath, Nakul Rath, Sahadev Rath, Arjun Rath and Bhima Rath. However, it is strange that no idol can be seen in this chariot. These chariots are also known as the Seven Pagoda. Mahabalipuram is a place where ancient coins from China, Persia (Iran) and Rome are found. These coins testify that trade at the port of Mahabalipuram would be booming at that time.
