Khattar, who once sold vegetables, will be the CM of Haryana for the second time today

Today, Manoharlal Khattar is taking oath as Haryana Chief Minister for the second time. He will be sworn in as Deputy Chief Minister of JJP's Dushyant Chautala. Haryana is the second consecutive CM to become the CM and leader of the Khata of the Bin Jat community. Khattar, who hails from the Punjabi community, has been an RSS activist.

Born in Rohtak, Haryana in 1945, Khattar's father came to India from Pakistan during a partition of India and Pakistan. Manoharlal Khattar had to become a doctor.

Khattar's family had poor working conditions as his father's economic condition was poor. After doing so, he started farming.

At the age of 24, he joined RSS. After that he decided not to marry. As an evangelist, he has worked in 12 states including Gujarat. Then in 1994, he was sent from the Sangh to the BJP. After becoming the Union Minister in the 95th BJP, he empowered the BJP in 1996 by partnering with the Bansilal government.

However, he contested for the first time in the Assembly elections in 2014 and became the first BJP chief minister. Now he is going to be the Chief Minister once again. He is the second Chief Minister after Bhupendra Hooda who is getting this responsibility for the second time in a row.
