Kashmir Valley schools to open today, security tightened

Jammu, Ta. 3 October 2019 Thursday

A government spokesman has formally announced that all schools will be opened in the Valley of Jammu and Kashmir from today. On the other hand, a joint meeting of the politicians who have been detained and released by Gandhi Jayanti for the last 58-60 days is to be held today. Security was tightened to prevent any untoward incident in the valley.

The curfew has been in most parts of the state since the Center canceled the 370th Article giving special status to Jammu and Kashmir on August 5th. Now sanctions have been lifted or relaxed in most areas.

However, the security forces have not yet been completely removed from here. The first meeting was held by the National Conference and discussed the election of the Block Development Council to be held last week this month.

Leaders of Gandhi Jayanti's liberation on October 2 included Devendra Rana and SS Saladia of the National Conference, Raman Bhalla of the Congress and Harshdev Singh of the Panthers Party.

Nevertheless, the heads of the two former chief ministers of the state, Umar Abdullah of the National Conference and Mehbooba Mufti of the PDP and former Union Minister Dr Farukh Abdullah and separatist leaders Sajja Dallon, are still under house arrest.

Mehbooba and Omar Abdullah tried to incite people when the central government abolished the special status of the state, so they were immediately detained. Those who have been released have been warned that they will not make any statement that the law and order will be lost.
