New delhi date. October 20, 2019, Sunday

ED (Enforcement Directorate) has revealed that Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath's nephew Ratul Puri has spent Rs 7.8 crore a night in a US nightclub.

The inquiry into the details of his financial transactions in the ongoing money-laundering case against Ratul Puri has come out and this has been mentioned in the chargesheet.

ED chargesheet states that Ratul Puri's financial transactions have come out after examining that huge sums of transactions have been made by Bill Pett for staying in luxury hotels in India and abroad.

In a single night in a night club called America's Provocateur, Ratul Puri spent 11 million dollars, or 7.8 million rupees. Along with its peers in the charge sheet, its company also names Moserbier. ED claims that Ratul Puri spent Rs 45 lakh, or 32 million rupees, during 2011 to 2016 to lead a luxurious life.

According to the chargesheet, Ratul Puri has made money laundering of around Rs 8,000 crore. The ED also alleges that the loan amount from the banks to the Moserbier Company was transferred to its subsidiary companies.

Fake companies were created to prevent money laundering through such transfers. The chargesheet contains the names of up to 12 fake companies in which the loan amount was transferred.
