Jammu and Kashmir needs peace keeping 200-300 will be kept in jail: Madhav

Srinagar, Ta. October 20, 2019, Sunday

While Jammu and Kashmir is on its way to peace and development with the abolition of Article 370, BJP national general secretary Ram Madhava on Sunday warned that strict action will be taken against those trying to break the peace here.

He added that pushing 200-300 people in jail would keep them in jail if peace was to be found in Jammu and Kashmir. Ram Madhav warned the leaders that you can do politics without losing peace.

Some leaders are also sending messages from inside the prison that people should take up guns and sacrifice them. I want to tell such leaders that they should come forward first and make their own sacrifices.

The BJP leader addressed the convention of the party's youth wing workers in Tagore Hall for the first time after the removal of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir.

This was the first time any political event was held in Jammu and Kashmir after the abolition of Article 370 on 6th August. He asked the leaders not to understand the people of Jammu and Kashmir for their political purposes.

He said that till now all the items in Kashmir were used for only a few families, but what is happening now is being used for millions of ordinary people in Jammu and Kashmir.

The only path now for Jammu and Kashmir is peace and development. Anyone who goes down this road will be strictly against it. There are many prisons in India for such people.
