Is of Doing Business ranked 14th in India, 63rd in the list of 190 countries

India jumped 14 places in the World Bank's Is of Doing Business ranking. Last year, India was ranked 77th out of 190 countries. India was ranked 63rd in the 2020 rankings. This year, the central government has set a target to be ranked in the top-50 countries.

India's ranking for the fifth time in the World Bank's Is of Doing Business Ranking was improved. India was ranked 63rd in the 2020 rankings. When ranked from 190 countries for the year of 2019, India was 77th. In a year, India jumped 14 places.

The economic reforms that have taken place in India in the last one year were taken into account for this report. This ranking is especially important considering the ease of doing business and how little processing a new business can do. Accordingly, the economic reforms in India were considered important.

In three consecutive years, India was included in the top 10 most improving countries for ease of doing business. In the last five years, the overall ranking of India's Is of Doing business has improved by 79%.

India's rank has been reported to improve from 2015 to last. India ranked 142nd in the World Bank's The Is of Doing Business Ranking in 2014-15.

According to the World Bank, India has made significant improvements to seven of the 10 criteria. India has followed international standards in these criteria.

India was ranked number one in South Asian countries in this World Bank report. India ranked sixth in South Asia in 2014-15. It is worth mentioning that the World Bank said in a report last month that India was included in the top 20 countries for economic reforms.

However, the government aimed to be included in the top 20 countries in the list. The ranking of Is of Doing proves very important for attracting foreign investors. Foreign investors choose to invest or start a new unit in a country where the ease of doing business is higher, according to the World Bank report.
