Invite astronomers of the country to name the earth-like planet as Sanskrit-Bengali

The Earth-like planets found outside the Sun are called exoplanet. There are many different planets that are constantly exploring. They are also named for those who need further study of the Planet. The International Astronomical Union is named after any planet, satellite, or sphere commonly found in the universe.

But this time, the union has asked various countries to send their local names. It is the Astronomical Society of India that sends the name from India.

The society competed for its name on its website. It had 1600 different names. An exoplanet and a plan whose orbit is to name two stars. Planet is now temporarily named HD-86081.

While you have no temporary name. Out of the various names received for both of these, five have been finalized by the Society. Now anyone can go to the Society's website (https://astron-soc.in/) to vote on the last of these five names by November 1st.

The ten names that are shortlisted are Sanskrit and Bengali. Names such as Anahat, Vibha, Rashmir, Suitej and Vibhas have been shortlisted for you. While it has been found suitable for the planet orbiting, the names of Arakasin, Alaya, Santamus, Tapetrus and Tarang. One of these five names is to be selected and eventually sent to the International Union. If someone's name is chosen, such person will also have the opportunity to attend the Society's program.

The planet is currently 340 light years away from Earth. When one travels around you, your temperature seems like six thousand degrees. The star can be seen under a binocular or a small spatial telescope under normal circumstances. Of course, one must know its origin.

CG Annupama: Society's first female president

The Astronomical Society of India has received CG Annupama as its first female president. At a meeting a few days ago, Dr. Anupama has been appointed as the President of the Society from 2019 to 2022. He is currently a Professor at the Indian Institute of Astrophysical, Bangalore. He was India's representative on the Thirty Meter Telescope made by five countries, including India, on the island of Hawaii. He also played an important role in the creation of the telescope that India launched a few times ago in Leh.
