India has good relations with all but one neighbor: Jaishankar

External Affairs Minister S. referring to Pakistan as a natural reference to regional cooperation. Jaishankar said India has good relations with all the neighboring countries except one.

On the prospect of a trade agreement between India and America in a session at the India Economic Forum, Jayashankar said it was not that easy. This is a very complicated matter. He also said that nationalism is on the rise in the world.

Addressing a session with World Economic Forum President Borg Brende, Jaishankar said that during his recent visit to the US, the issue of elimination of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir was discussed.

In a two-day India Economic Forum organized by the World Economic Forum, Jayashankar said that during the session of the United Nations in the United States, there was widespread discussion with countries of the world on the Kashmir issue, Article 370 and why it had to be removed.

The foreign minister said the dispute was new for many countries. Little did he realize that Article 370 of the Constitution was temporary or that many laws of the country could not be implemented in Jammu and Kashmir.

Referring to the strengthening of relations with the neighboring countries, Jayashankar said that India has good relations with all the neighboring countries except the one in terms of regional cooperation. He said that there was a mentality issue with Pakistan. He hopes it will come out of the anti-India psyche.

He added that if you put aside the Kashmir issue for a while, India's trade with all other neighboring countries, people-to-people contact and connectivity are increasing. In the context of nationalism, he said that nationalism is not a negative emotion for India. We are nationalists, but that does not create an internationally stressful environment.
