When Chinese President Xi Jinping arrives in India on Friday for his second informal summit with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chinese media say the focus will be on how to build a cooperative partnership bypassing historical and current differences at the center of the talks.

Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu's historic city, Mamallapuram, is set to welcome Prime Minister Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping. Meanwhile, the Chinese envoy to India, Sun Baidong, said that India and China were not a threat to each other.

On the informal talks between Prime Minister Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping, Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister Luo Zhaohui said that the officials of the two countries have made elaborate preparations for the meeting. Strong ground has been prepared for this discussion.

There will be new developments in the cooperation between the two sides and will yield fruitful results. He added that because of these informal summit talks, the two leaders would freely exchange their views on a variety of issues without specific issues. Also, there is no agreement on this meeting.

He is expected to have some meetings with Modi on a two-day India visit to Xinjiang on Friday. At these meetings, the two leaders will discuss how to proceed in India-China relations. This meeting is very important when China's support for Pakistan's anti-India efforts comes after Article 370 was abolished in Jammu and Kashmir.

Beijing and New Delhi are keen to improve bilateral relations through personal relations between India and China's top leaders, Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister Luo said. However, just 48 hours before Jinping's meeting with Modi, a meeting was held between Jinping and Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan in China, in which China supported Pakistan's stance on the Kashmir issue.

After the meeting, India strongly opposed the mention of Kashmir in a joint statement from China and Pakistan. As a result, both leaders were speculating that the meeting would be worthwhile. However, rejecting the speculation, the two leaders allowed an informal meeting on Friday and Saturday. The meeting is expected to make China-India relations more positive.

Meanwhile, the historic city on the coast near Chennai has been transformed into a fortress with extraordinary security arrangements for the mamallapuram jinping and Modi's summit talks, while the city's decoration has been finalized. In addition, more than 800 CCTVs are being monitored on 24 routes through the control room in the city.
