DRDO makes hypersonic missile, five times faster than sound speed

The Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) was formally announced to be active in the direction of the hypersonic missile. Some countries in the world, especially the US, Russia and China are already operating in this direction.

A DRDO spokesman said that DRDO scientists and technocrats have been working towards building a fully indigenous hypersonic missile. This missile will be five times faster than the speed of sound struck at the enemy.

A wind tunnel and new technology will be implemented soon for the test of this missile, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will formally inaugurate the facility soon.

Each country is experimenting with such missiles to increase its combat preparedness and to make the front line combat units more efficient. India is also working towards producing such a hypersonic missile with completely indigenous materials.

Intercontinental ballistic missiles are currently considered the most lethal. But the supersonic missile will be even more deadly and no country has the technical capability to stop it.
