Blacklisted 28 Chinese companies in the United States for oppression of minorities in Xinjiang

These 28 companies will not be able to buy American goods because of the US decision

In China's Xinjiang province, Uyghur has blacklisted 28 Chinese units for targeting and improperly targeting Muslims and other minorities. The announcement was made by US Commerce Minister Wilbur Ross.

These units will no longer be able to purchase American goods with the announcement from the United States. Ross has said China will never tolerate repression on minorities. Companies that are blacklisted by the American Federal Register include Hikvision, Maggie Technology Sense Time.

The United States has blacklisted 28 Chinese companies at a time when talks between the US and China will begin on October 10.

The talks will be attended by US Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer and Treasury Minister Steven Mnuchin on behalf of the United States. Deputy Prime Minister Li Hee will be present at the Chinese delegation.

It is worth mentioning that the talks between China and the United States have been going on for ten months to end the trade war but so far the two countries have failed to reach agreement. Recently, Trump said that an agreement with China would be 100 percent beneficial to the United States only if it reached an agreement with China.

Last year, the United States started a trade war by placing duty on China. Since then, the two countries have been steadily increasing duty on each other's goods. The ongoing trade war between the two largest economies in the world is seeing the effects of the recession all over the world.

The US and China are also suffering a great deal of damage due to this trade war. Chinese companies are facing the biggest blow to Chinese goods in the US due to increased duty.

The US Department of Commerce said in a statement that these actions have been taken against the blacklisted companies because they are involved in oppressive activities against Chinese minorities.
